ZTE ZMax Pro hauls fingerprint reader and 6-inch 1080p display to T-Mobile

What a difference $60 can make! That’s how much pricier the ZTE ZMax Pro on T-Mobile is compared to the company’s far lower-end Tempo released earlier this week with exclusive Boost Mobile availability.

The $130 ZMax Pro, of course, costs 30 bucks less if you purchase it from and activate it on MetroPCS, but some budget-conscious mobile consumers would rather deal with the “UnCarrier” directly as opposed to its fast-growing prepaid daughter operator.

Besides the small pricing gap, you’re now getting from T-Mo the same exact “cheap but not cheap” phone, 6-inch Full HD screen, Android 6.0 Marshmallow, Snapdragon 617 processor, 2GB RAM, expandable 32GB storage, 13/5MP cameras, 3,400 mAh battery, USB Type-C connectivity and all.

Don’t forget the rear-positioned fingerprint sensor, a truly unique selling point for a device in this price range stateside, or an unusually premium design, all things considered, featuring “easy-grip materials”, “curved display edging”, as well as a relatively svelte 8.9 mm figure.
