ZTE Unveils Mimosa X, First Tegra 2 With nVidia Icera Modem

Hot on the heels of the ZTE PF200 and the ZTE N910 Android phones announced yesterday ahead of MWC, the Chinese manufacturer is unveiling yet another smartphone. This time around it’s the ZTE Mimosa X, powered by nVidia’s Tegra 2 dual-core SoC.

However, while the Tegra 2 isn’t of huge importance by itself, the Mimosa X is the first smartphone to include the nVidia Icera modem technology after Icera’s acquisition by the chip maker last year.

Aside from the dual-core Tegra 2 SoC and the Icera 450 HSPA+ modem, the Mimosa X runs Android 4.x Ice Cream Sandwich and features a 4.3-inch qHD screen, five-megapixel main camera and front cameras, plus 4GB of internal storage expandable to 32GB via microSD card. While the specs are modest, we can expect ZTE to push the price point as low as possible whenever the Mimosa X will become available around the second quarter of the year.
