ZTE announces the enormous Grand X Max+ for Cricket Wireless

Many people, when going smartphone shopping, just want something that’s cheap and is on a decent rate plan. In the United States, it’s not that simple to work this combo out with ease and still get a phone that’s workable, but the newly-announced ZTE Grand X Max+ on AT&T MVNO Cricket Wireless could change this.

The phone packs a massive 6-inch HD screen with an HD (1280×720) resolution, a 13MP rear-facing camera, a 5MP front-facer, a 3,200 mAh battery (that’s the benefit of having such a massive phone), Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor, and ZTE’s custom skin atop Android 4.4 KitKat.

What’s neat about the handset is that it’s just $200 off-contract at Cricket. Couple that with Cricket’s $35 a month starter price for cellular plans, and you can get yourself a pretty sweet deal with this phone. We hope to go hands-on with the device later this week, and we’ll be sure to post up additional content on the site and our YouTube channel if we do so. For now, let us know in the comments section what you think about the Grand X Max+ – something for you to stay away from, or your next personal phone?
