So, we know what we’re getting with the Axon 7 and we figured that ZTE would finally come around and just say that the phone’s going global. As we have discussed on this week’s podcast, we’d hope that the company would do its flagship phone a favor in marketing the thing.

Well, we’re learning now that the base model Axon 7 — the one with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage — will go on sale in China for ¥2,899. Funnily enough, the phone will retail for €409 in Europe and $449 in the US. That’s the same price the original Axon Pro launched with last year.

There’s a higher-end version of the Axon 7 with 6GB of RAM, 128GB of storage and what’s being characterized as a “3D touch display”. We’d like to know if that would go beyond China and for how much, but we guess we’ll have to wait and see.
