It’s rare that we see a manufacturer build a phone around one specific feature. Not just the camera on the phone, but the ZOOM on that camera. Only a few manufacturer’s have tackled this feature. Often it results in the Frankenstein combination of camera and phone, like the Samsung K Zoom which is really more camera than phone.
From a phone perspective, Asus has a better solution for keeping the whole zoom mechanism contained. A series of prisms and lens elements are mounted periscope style to keep the lens from telescoping out the back of the ZenFone Zoom.
