Xiaomi might have racked up some 1.5 million sales for its Mi Max smartphone, but all achievements are fleeting in an industry that keeps the butter churning. So, when’s the next big release date? According to the company, it’s to be July 27.

The Redmi Weibo page posted up the existence of a Redmi Pro that will debut along with some “a mysterious sidekick” on that date. Whether it’s the Redmi Note 4 or a Mi Note 2 or the Galaxy Note 7-whoops, wrong post… anyways, there’s plenty of thought that could go into this. It could be an accessory or a weirdo smart surfboard — we’re talking Xiaomi, after all.

Earlier on, GizmoChina picked up on a Geekbench log showing off the “Xiaomi Redmi Pro” and its MediaTek Helio X25 chipset along with 4GB of RAM.

We’ll be more sure when we hear more details from Beijing come next Wednesday.
