Windows Phone Mango Brings New Emoticons To Text Messages

Many are wondering what exactly are those “more than 500 features” we were told about by Steve Ballmer since the official Windows Phone Mango presentation only included a couple — in comparison to the several hundred many expected.

One of the features that were not showed off was the introduction of new emoticons in text messages. So, instead of just displaying plain text (like ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ˜› ๐Ÿ˜€ and so on), Windows Phone Mango will actually represent the emotion by displaying the corresponding emoticon. Microsoft definitely wants to keep the momentum for Mango and will probably flood us with features, minor or major, throughout the summer until the platform refresh will be rolled out to Windows Phones at the beginning of this autumn.

Thanks: Craig
