Windows Phone Mango Beta 2 Social Integration Demo (Video)
Windows Phone Mango will bring deep social integration, among other features, which will allow you to link a certain contact to its corresponding account on social networks like Twitter (enabled in Beta 2), LinkedIn and Facebook.
In this video we’re going to take a look at how Mango integrated all the social networks it currently supports and how it delivers news aggregated from all those places into the contact card (what’s new, live tile, etc.). We’ve set up a contact which is linked to five places: Exchange, Windows Live, Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter. How does Mango cope with that? Check out the video below:
Note: Some users (myself included) didn’t manage to properly set up the social integration on their phone running Mango Beta 2, even if their LinkedIn or Twitter accounts were properly tied to their Windows Live account. After flashing the Beta ROM, it is recommended to do a hard reset (unfortunately) which will most probably fix the issue. After the reset, add Windows Live and then Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook (in case the first two aren’t automatically added with the Windows Live account).
