Windows Mobile 6.5 Build 23034 Screenshots and Video

We continue to see the evolution of what we think will be an interim build of Windows Mobile that comes before 7. In this latest build, shown above in video on the XPERIA X1, the top bar has been shrunken to about the same size you’ll find on the iPhone or in Android, so that the Start button can join all of the other buttons on the bottom bar. Since the bottom bar is now thicker to accommodate all of the buttons, this change doesn’t seem to allow for more screen space overall, but it does add a bit of elegance.

Here we see the shrunken top bar, plus the magnified notification area that was present in 23022.

With all buttons now on the bottom bar, we’re starting to see a bit of clutter. That said, this is not the final design and there will probably be a more elegant solution introduced in upcoming builds.

We’re seeing what looks to be Windows Mobile 7-like pivot lists. This, too, should become more refined in later builds.
