We first saw Android Wear version 5.1.1 on the LG Watch Urbane, and since then it’s rolled out to most other Android-powered smartwatches. The Moto 360 has been a bit slow to receive updates, and 5.1.1 was no exception, but it’s in our hands now and we wanted to run you through some of the new features that the software update has brought.
Android Wear 5.1.1 on the Moto 360 introduces wrist gestures to manage notification cards on the main screen hands-free. It also brings a long-requested app launcher to the mix, meaning you’ll no longer have to dig through menus or use your voice to launch a Wear app. You can now draw emojis as well, and the pattern lock is a nice security measurement to avoid unwanted access.
