I love showing off replacement launchers on my devices. Why? Any Android user can quickly and easily change the entire look and feel of their home screen experience just by installing a new app. Android is the only OS in the top three that can do that. Today I want to show you Vire Launcher, currently in beta, that takes how launchers look and their overall experience to a whole new level!

Vire Launcher is a fast and very fluid launcher replacement that the developers say will make even “low-end Android phones feel like high-end” devices. Vire and adds realistic 3D effects right on your home screen, but does so without getting in the way. It even includes a physics engine!

What makes Vire so cool? How about real-time lighting, 3D transitions, and automatic theming of all UI elements? Yeah, it’s got all that, and they look amazing! There are more cool features, but you really have to see them in action to appreciate what I’m talking about.

Vire Launcher Beta runs great on my Nexus 4, but isn’t compatible with the Nexus 7 (or other tablets) at this time. You can pick up a free copy from the Play Store.
