It doesn’t take long to find a smartphone users who’s paying for premium music streaming, whether that’s through Spotify, Apple Music, or any number of competitors. What hasn’t quite hit the same level of popularity, though, are similar premium streaming services focusing on video content; we’ve got YouTube Red, sure, but what else? Well, there’s always Vessel, which launched last year with an interesting take on the subscription model, giving paying users early access to the latest content. That was well and good, but  even paying users would still end up seeing ads – something YouTube Red does away with altogether. Today Vessel announces it’s hopping on the same ad-free bandwagon, giving premium users a totally ad-free viewing experience.

Free users, understandably, will still see ads with their Vessel videos, and will have to wait 72 hours following publication to see the latest premium clips. But for those who pay Vessel’s three-dollars-a-month subscription fee, they’ll have access to all content as soon as it hits the site, all ad-free.

In addition to this new no-ads premium viewing model, Vessel is also introducing an affordable new way for users to subscribe to the site, with a $20 annual option – representing a savings of nearly 45 percent over the regular monthly rate.
