Saying that Verizon was late to the HTC One party back in 2013 is a slight understatement, as the flagship made its way to Big Red months after landing on its competitors’ line-up. However, this year, we’ve seen a lot of 2014 HTC One leaks, and, from those, there were many involving Verizon, whether that’s renders with the phone wearing the carrier logo, a retail box, or the most recent leak.

There might be an explanation to that, as, according to a recent report citing “trusted” sources, Verizon will have a “couple of weeks” of exclusivity for the 2014 flagship. The phone will reportedly go on sale on launch day, March 25 (1P EDT), on Big Red, and other carriers, like AT&T, T-Mobile, and the rest of the markets will follow two weeks after. We’ll of course have to hear Peter Chou say all this, but so far, the pieces seem to be falling nicely in place.
