The year 2016 will be remembered for many reasons, but one of the most positive reasons to remember this year will be looking back at all of the amazing options we gadget fans enjoyed at a mid-pack price. This year we saw the line between wallet-friendly phones and more expensive premium options almost completely erode. High end performance, competitive storage and battery options, and some beautiful hardware designs.

With so many fantastic options, we felt it was worth coming back to produce another quick showdown of our favorites so far. It’s an incredible collection, and funny to think that someone could buy two of these devices and still come in $80 cheaper than a single Note 7.
