With age comes more RAM and more responsibility. So should go the spiel that every manufacturer gives to its phones, but that’s anthropomorphizing gone insane.
The rumor at hand is that we’re getting more word not just from KGI or other analysts, but from anonymous “industry” sources via Digitimes that the new iPhone will have 3GB of RAM. That, in part, will lead a big surge in demand for DRAM chips from players such as SK Hynix and Micro Technology.
Components manufacturers for Apple products have been suffering along with the company’s declining earnings. iPhone and iPad business represents a huge chunk of their bottom lines.
So, will all iPhone 7 (or 6SE) variants get the extra RAM? Will one? Which one — okay, it’s a little obvious, but we just have questions to ask before Apple launches these things.
