Facebook has officially announced its new cloud gaming service, Facebook Gaming, which will start with free-to-play games
Apple won't charge its standard fee for a period of three months, but paid online events hosted by game creators won't get a reprieve.
Mixer will be up and running through July 22, 2020, and after that, the Mixer.com URL will redirect visitors to Facebook Gaming.
Apple is expected to lose a considerable amount of money if it starts allowing other companies to offer their own game stores.
Facebook Gaming was originally slated for a June 2020 debut, but the rise in gaming during the coronavirus crisis made Facebook push the release ahead.
