T-Mobile Simple Global upping European travelers to LTE speeds

Have you got travel plans to Europe this summer? Want to stay connected? Do you fear of the consequences that may take place after the Brexit vote? T-Mobile’s helping to allay most of these anxieties by amping up its Simple Global program in Europe.

Sure, you have free data in over 140 territories around the world (including Belize now), but 2G speeds can get pretty impractical. The Un-carrier is letting those speeds rise up to 4G standards from July 1 to August 31 in the 58 countries it serves in Europe. That’s for free, along with SMS. Calls are still 20¢ a minute.

You can tell that T-Mobile had prepped for the Scottish referendum, too, by the way it has pointed out the individual nations of the United Kingdom and not just the United Kingdom itself.

T-Mobile also announced that if you happen to be one of its customers or even ones from AT&T and Verizon, you get a free hour of Gogo in-flight Wi-Fi on any domestic flight that has the service from Friday up through Sunday at 11pm Eastern.
