T-Mobile Pushing Back Galaxy Note Release Date? Leak Mentions Other Unannounced Samsungs

T-Mobile’s getting the Samsung Galaxy Note. We’ve seen early shots of the phone in action, read about possible release dates in leaked roadmaps, discovered the model’s FCC paperwork, and most recently got to look at some press renders. Despite all this, T-Mobile has yet to officially announce its plans for the Note. We’d been expecting that to change very soon, as that leaked roadmap mentioned a July 11 retail launch for the handset. That may not be coming to pass, as a newly-leaked internal document now shows the Note not arriving until we’re well into August.

The document shows an updated release date for the Note, now set to go up for sale on August 8. It’s unclear why T-Mobile might not want the phone out earlier, as it had seemed nearly ready-to-go, but interested customers will just have to wait a few weeks longer.

Besides the Note, this document mentions two other unannounced Samsungs set to arrive in early August, the Apex Q and the Cacao. That “Q” there might indicate that this model is the SGH-T699, which we recently heard would be an Android with a hardware QWERTY keyboard and 720p display. As for the Cacao, your guess is as good as ours, and for all we know this might not be a smartphone at all. We’ve also got two Huaweis here, which should be the new myTouch models we’re expecting.
