The Nexus 5 may be the hot Android of the moment, but all of a sudden we’ve found ourselves talking a lot about this past summer’s Moto X. Yesterday we saw rumors discuss the coming availability of those wooden options that looked so hot when the phone first launched, and then we heard the custom Moto Maker tool would finally be expanding beyond the AT&T exclusivity it had enjoyed thus far, and we’d see Sprint gain access to the tool next Monday. Now we’re hearing a little more about just how other carriers may get their shot at the tool, with a rumor that T-Mobile could see its own custom options become available this Friday.
Right now, you can buy a full-price Moto X for T-Mobile directly from Motorola, but like all those other non-AT&T carriers, the phone’s only available in white and black. If @evleak’s source is on the money, that’s set to change on November 8, when T-Mobile shoppers will get full access to the customization options Moto Maker affords them.
With T-Mobile on Friday and Sprint on Monday, it’s looking increasingly likely that Motorola may just end Moto Maker exclusivity altogether and give all the carriers – Verizon included – a shot at the full spectrum of custom designs.
