T-Mobile CEO giving away trip to Mars after Twitter milestone

Three million Twitter followers later and the CEO of T-Mobile is feeling quite thankful.

John Legere is celebrating his social media fandom, reminiscing about how people treated him as if he came from Mars when just four years ago he was welcomed to what he has made into “the Un-carrier” and is sending a person to Mars. Well, if one of his tweets gets one million retweets.

Well, that’s the tweet. The prizes in detail per tier are these:

  1. An $800 airline credit good for a trip anywhere within the USA when the tweet hits 10,000 retweets
  2. A leather Novus Zero Gravity Recliner by Relax the Back, valued at $1,995, for at least 50,000 retweets
  3. A “zero gravity experience” worth $5,500 (transportation is not included) for at least 100,000 retweets
  4. A trip to Mars through Elon Musk’s SpaceX or, if not commercially available, a check for the trip’s approximate retail value of $200,000.

The contest is on through a minute before October 12, Pacific Time. Winners will be chosen at random around noon that day. As of this post, it’s only been four hours since the sweepstakes started and Legere’s tweet has been relayed over 2,100 times.

We’re glad for the guy and glad that he’s been able wrastle up a mean ‘ol little network that keeps on growing every quarter. But we gotta clean this guy of house and rocket.
