Sprint HTC One M8 (and Harman/Kardon Edition) getting EYE Experience update

By Rithvik Rao October 27, 2014, 7:33 pm

Ever since the HTC Desire EYE landed a couple weeks ago, we’re sure at least some One M8 owners have seethed with envy after seeing us go hands-on with the nifty camera tricks the phone boasts. Well, fret not, as a fresh Sprint HTC One M8 EYE Experience update is now rolling out to owners of both the regular and Harman/Kardon edition One M8s on Sprint.

For a good look at what the update will bring to your phone, we urge you to give our Desire EYE hands-on a good look – the software is covered extensively by Michael Fisher in that video – but we’ll give you the gist of it in written form as well. There is a host of new software features, particularly in the camera, that will become available to you upon updating to the newest firmware, including Crop Me In (a handy feature letting you drop your face into a picture). There also will be Live Makeup, Face Tracking, and more, so you’ll have a blast if you’re a mobile photography nerd.

POCKETNOW VIDEO OF THE DAY

If you have either a regular Sprint One M8 or a fancy Harman/Kardon edition, you should commence slamming the “Check for Updates” button right the heck now. And let us know down in the comments when you are up and running on the new firmware!
