The Now Network reckons the only thing better than a new device is two new devices, taking a page from T-Mobile’s old playbook with a “Tablet on Us” type of deal for a limited time. The main difference is Sprint’s free slate looks slightly less crappy, at least on paper.

On the not so bright side, you need to sign up to a 24-month contract to qualify for your 9.6-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab E gift, as well as buy a Note 5, GS6, S6 Edge, S7 or S7 Edge with installment plans, leases, two-year service agreements or at full SRP.

No other phones are unfortunately eligible for the bundle promo, billed as a Fourth of July marketing scheme, but likely to last at least a little while longer, given no expiration date is listed at the terms and conditions page.

The Galaxy Tab E 9.6, mind you, is hardly what one would call a powerhouse, but it’s not a pushover either, with a large, HD screen in tow, quad-core processing punch, 1.5GB RAM, 5,000 mAh battery, and “impeccable” portability, courtesy of an 8.5mm profile and 495-gram mass. Also, it may well be due for a Marshmallow update soon enough.
