Curated playlists reach Spotify for iOS and Android

If you’re a Spotify user, you either love or you hate playlists. It is annoying for some that you can’t really classify an album without having to create one, but on the other hand, it’s one of the coolest things in the world when you get to share a specific playlist with your friends. Whether it’s your favorite running music, or the fact that you’re like some of us, and have compiled all the songs from the “MTV Party To Go” albums that we bought in the 90s, there are some major benefits to the system, and this just got better.

As it turns out, Spotify is now implementing a new system called Playlist Browse on both Android and iOS. The idea is that the company provides you with curated playlists of any genre you like. Sometimes the best way to discover music is to have the experts suggest the best songs for a specific niche, and this could be a good solution. Obviously many of us are already crossing our fingers for these curated playlists to not include music that’s “specifically suggested” by a record label, but hey, this is always a good start.

Stay tuned, as you should be getting this update soon, as the company has confirmed that it’ll gradually reach iOS and Android customers. It should reach every other supported platform soon as well.
