We'd been hearing about the Sony Xperia GX for some time now, back since it was still going by codename Hayabusa. The GX is now official, and alongside the Xperia SX, will likely be hitting Japan this summer. In preparation, Sony just released some new videos of the phones, along with a whole bunch of press images.

While the GX is the higher-end of the two handsets, it's the smaller SX which stands out from a design standpoint, looking pretty sharp in the assortment of four color options with which the Android handset will arrive.

Both Xperias have dual-core Snapdragon S4 chips under their hoods, but while the GX has a big 13-megapixel main camera and 4.7-inch HD display, the SX has a more traditionally-sized 8-megapixel camera and a 3.7-inch qHD screen.

So far, we're not sure what Sony might be thinking in regards to either of these Androids ever finding a home in the West, but even if neither directly makes the trip, we'll be sure to see similar hardware continue to come out from Sony.

Check out some pics of the Xperia SX below, with video of both it and the GX following at the bottom.
