oem lollipop updates

Even with all the rumors surrounding Sony’s intention to sell its Xperia division, that hasn’t pulled the company back from being one of the best at timely software updates. The company may have taken a little too long to update the Xperia Z3 a few weeks ago, but it seems that a broader plan behind the update was designed to compensate to other customers for the lost time.

Today Sony has announced that users off the Xperia Z3 Dual, Xperia Z1, Xperia Z1 Compact, and Xperia Z Ultra should receive Android Lollipop today. Those of you using the Xperia T2 Ultra and the Xperia C3 (both variants) should be getting the update next week as well.

To sweeten the pot, believe it or not, Sony has also decided to tease Lollipop for legacy devices like the original Xperia Z, Xperia ZL, Xperia ZR and even the original Xperia Tablet Z. Those of you still using these devices should get the update in the next few weeks as well.

Be sure to share how Lollipop is working for you after the updates in the comments down below.
