“Much s’more” to come as invites for 9/29 Google event are sent

The picnic has been set for a few days. First came I/O 2015 with the Android M reveal. We found out that the “M” stood for “Marshmallow” and would come bearing the version 6.0 tag. Hardware rumors about the so-called Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P have streamed along for a while. Heck, there’s even excitement about a new Chromecast coming in the near future. Well, we’re bound to see a culmination of all this come together on September 29 at 9am PT in San Francisco. And we have a look at the invites to prove it.

Google sent them out to the press exclaiming and teasing about “some tasty new treats.” We’ll have showcases from developers and some “hands-on time to follow” as well. With the invite’s allusions to s’mores, we think we could see three or four (depending on if you count the two crackers separately) elements to the showcase. Maybe the Nexus devices are the crackers, the Chromecast is the chocolate and then the marshmallow tells the rest of the story?

But we are on the lookout, so be sure to stay tuned.
