Siri Co-founder Dag Kittlaus Leaves Apple

Apple has purchased Siri in April 2010, a company specialized in voice control with Dag Kittlaus as its co-founder and CEO. After Apple announced the iPhone 4S, with one of its major selling points being Siri, Dag Kittlaus has left the Cupertino-based company.

The reasons behind his leaving, which was amicable and planned for a while, were personal and various, including his family being in Chicago, the desire to take time off as well as an interest in brainstorming new entrepreneurial ideas. According to reports, after leading the Siri team at Apple, Kittlaus has left Apple right after the iPhone 4S launch event, though “other key execs from Siri are expected to remain at Apple.”
