Save Power With This Minimalistic Theme: Black Exodus

By Joe Levi January 16, 2012, 8:41 pm

Black Exodus is a flashable theme that gives your colorful Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich-based smartphone or tablet a minimalistic, monochromatic look. The theory being that black pixels use less power than white (or colorful) pixels, and should save some battery juice. According to the theme's creator, version 1.0 proved that battery life "improved a lot". Version 2.0 should build on the battery savings from version 1 and puts even more polish on the theme!

Unlike some of the ROMs that we've written about in the past that use the T-Mobile/CyanogenMod theme engine, this must be flashed on top of a compatible ROM.

  • AOKP (build 14 and uip)

  • Android Revolution HD (LTE and GSM)

  • GummyNex
