Samsung wants iPhone users to switch over, offers test smartphone of choice
Though we can’t be certain of anything, some of the gossip we’ve heard might be true, specifically the bits according to which Samsung has moved its Note 5 unveiling to an earlier date in order to have a jump-start, as Apple’s refreshed iPhone 6 Plus should be official beginning of September. Whether that’s the case or not is up to you to decide, but Samsung is definitely going after iPhone owners, and what better way to prove it than by its most recent Samsung test drive program.
If you live in the US, Samsung will give you a Samsung smartphone of your choice, for 30 days, with no obligations, after you pay a one dollar processing fee. According to the official wording, the Samsung test drive kit contains “the phone of your choice, an activated sim card, and a step-by-step guide to help you start your test drive”.
Once you visit the source link below on your iPhone, you select the phone of your choice, test drive it, and, Samsung hopes you’ll make the switch. Apparently, however, the demand was “overwhelming”, and Samsung is “temporarily out of test drive phones”.
Now, before you jump to any conclusions, think about the fact that we have no idea how many test drive phones were secured, how many were sent out; also keep in mind that taking a new phone for a spin (basically for free) tickles everyone’s geeky genome, and it doesn’t mean a switch is made. However, hats-off to Samsung for offering this opportunity.
