We’ve heard a rather interesting (and early) rumor about the possible future Samsung Galaxy S IV. The Korea Times reported that the flagship follow-up will be unveiled at the 2013 MWC in Barcelona in February but Samsung took it to Twitter to deny the information.

We found it fishy to say the least! Samsung decided to go with a separate event, a la Apple, as far as the Galaxy S III was concerned (see the May London Unpacked Event) and we were wondering why would Samsung go back to a show once they left it. Long story short, the rumor is just that, a rumor, and according to official wording from Samsung, none of the information unveiled is true. Still, non-believers will ask themselves: is this the way to steal the iPhone 5 thunder or was it just a coincidence? After all, it’s a South Korean media outlet writing about a South Korean phone maker!
