Samsung Preparing Galaxy Note Hardware for US Release? (Image)

We saw the super-sized Samsung Galaxy Note go up for sale in the UK last month, a nice treat after it had been looking like we might not see the 5.3-inch Android arrive until early next year. Despite that early launch, we still don’t have an American release date nailed-down, and only know that the plan was for the US release to follow the international debut. It now seems like there might be some small hardware changes in store for the State-side launch of the Galaxy Note, as we’ve spotted what looks like some shots of just such a revised Note.

In what looks like they were taken inside one of Samsung’s offices, these images show-off a couple of these large handsets under testing. In the image above, you can make out the Note’s stylus holder on the phone’s bottom edge. Unlike the Note as it’s been released so far, though, this model features a set of four Android capacitive buttons.

We can’t say if the button layout will be the only change in store for the Note, but we’ve got no reason to suspect that Samsung had any other revisions in mind for the smartphone. We’ll be keeping an eye out for any more US release rumors, but from the looks of things, the Note hardware seems pretty much ready to go.
