The Samsung Nexus S running Google’s latest mobile platform, Android 2.3 Gingerbread, is available for preorder with U.K. eTailer Carphone Warehouse.

Officially scheduled for launch on December 16 in the U.S. and rumored for December 20 in the U.K., the Nexus One refresh has a preorder price tag of £549.95 for pay-as-you-go (roughly $871) but you can grab it for free if you agree to pay a monthly £35 (around $55) to either O2, Orange, T-Mobile, or Vodafone. The website advertises end of December delivery for the Super AMOLED equipped device, sporting a 1GHz Hummingbird processor, 512MB of RAM, and 16GB internal storage, with no microSD slot to allow memory expansion. Who’s preordering?
