Samsung Illusion & Pantech Breakout LTE for Verizon Revealed
Among quite a few other handsets Verizon is expected to release this month (Bliss, Vigor, Enlighten, Stratosphere, etc.) are the Samsung Illusion and Pantech Breakout LTE. As its name implies, Breakout is a 4G-capable slate tipped as having a four-inch WVGA screen and 1GHz single-core processor; a five-megapixel camera, front-facing webcam, and 512MB of memory are also rumored features. One of the highlights is said to be Breakout’s tethering prowess: supposedly it can perform as a mobile hotspot for up to 10 devices simultaneously over LTE.
Less is known about the Illusion, although we suspect it’s the device that’s been going by model number SCH-i110, which would make it an entry-level, Gem-type phone. If that is the case, we’re probably looking at an 800MHz processor (although 1GHz is not out of the question), HVGA resolution, and a three- or five-megapixel camera.
Breakout should launch any day now (it’s already late according to a leaked roadmap), while Illusion will likely come closer to the end of the month.
