More than three months ago Samsung decided to roll out the official Ice Cream Sandwich update for the Samsung Galaxy S II and, at that time, many owners of 2011 Samsung Galaxy tablets were hoping to see the same for their devices. That didn’t happen but according to recent reports the Android 4.0 refresh will soon (finally) be pushed out.

If you have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, 8.9, 7.7 or Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus, you should expect the process to start next month. However, the report claims that most of the updates are planned for August. No cool, Samsung! Aside from the platform refresh there will allegedly be also battery and performance improvements included with the firmwares. Since “later” is better than “never” we’ll continue doing exactly what we did up until now: wait.
