Android users have every reason to brag about the Galaxy S III because, at the moment, it is the second fastest Android phone on the planet (outperformed only by Samsung’s Galaxy Note II phablet, yet to land on US carriers). However, in the fast-moving world of technology, this title isn’t easy to hold on to. If no other phone will outperform the SGS III in the coming months, it will be its own follow-up, the Galaxy S IV, that will take the reign.

Lots of salt, people, that’s what you need for such an early rumor, but here goes: Samsung is reportedly planning on introducing the Galaxy S IV at the 2013 MWC. The Galaxy S III broke the “MWC” rule since it was unveiled at a special, post-MWC event, at the end of May in London and, judging by its success, we doubt Samsung will go back to the trade floor to unveil its next flagship (though the Galaxy Note II was still unveiled at IFA). Anything is possible at this moment.

As far as rumored details are concerned, we can expect, at this stage, a fairly similar design (with some changes though) but a larger, five-inch-ish screen. All of the above come from company officials and Samsung’s local suppliers who unveiled the aforementioned to The Korea Times.

Mobile World Congress 2013 will take place between February 25 and 28 and an unnamed Samsung official unveiled that the Galaxy S IV will be available globally one month after its announcement, probably towards the end or March, beginning of April 2013.

Whether all the above is legit or is it just someone trying to steal the iPhone 5 thunder is yet unknown but we’ll definitely find out more as MWC 2013 gets closer.
