Samsung Galaxy S IV Coming In April 2013, Packing Unbreakable Screen?

Ever since Samsung decided to go the Apple-way with regards of a special, dedicated launch event — called Unpacked — for its 2012 flagship we believed that the follow-up will get the same treatment despite rumors of a possible CES and MWC 2013 unveiling. A recent report seems to confirm just that: the Samsung Galaxy S IV is allegedly coming in April (for an eleven-month cycle, since the S III was unveiled in May).

Furthermore, Reuters reports that the phone, codenamed “Project J” (after mobile division chief JK Shin), might feature an unbreakable screen as a feature to set it apart from other manufacturers and main competitor, Apple. Of course, all of the above, including the launch timeframe and bits about the screen, are just rumors at the moment, with no solid information to back them up, or opinions of analysts, like Mark Newman from Stanford Bernstein in Hong Kong, who thinks that “eventually, they’ll have unbreakable and flexible displays. Either the Galaxy S IV or S V will have unbreakable and even possibly flexible and foldable displays by 2014. That’s going to be a game-changer,” said Mark Newman, an analyst at Stanford Bernstein in Hong Kong. Wonder what happened with all the hype about a future possible bendable/flexible screen?…
