Mark your calendar’s everyone because your prayers have just been answered. Samsung has just posted that March 10th will be the day when your Galaxy S II (GT-I9100) will get a taste of some Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich love. I’m not sure if I should say sadly or gladly, but you know TouchWiz will also be included with the upgrade, but still, I know current GSII owners won’t complain. Have a look at Tony’s extensive review on the unofficial ROM leak we caught recently, because it most likely won’t change that much. The upgrade includes some multi-tasking enhancements, Android Beam, Face Unlock and the Data Usage feature we already know from the Galaxy Nexus.

Now these news are sadly not all fun and games since this upgrade will apparently only be available to owners of the unlocked model. Naturally carriers will follow (if they choose to), but we don’t have any dates on their release. If you’re on the list of lucky people eligible for the upgrade, I’d recommend you plan your day in advanced because there are a couple million of you on the edge of your seat waiting. Here are all the details on the upgrade so you can be ready.
