Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G UAProf Listing Provides New Details

Earlier this morning, someone poking his nose around Samsung’s collection of UAProf files for its phones noticed one for model SGH-T999 had recently been published. This sparked-off a wave of speculation about what high-end Android for T-Mobile might be the model in question here. Much of that talk has been focused on the Galaxy Nexus, and while that might be a likely candidate otherwise, we’ve already made the connection between model SGH-T999 and a device name, back when we linked the number to the Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G.

Shortly after we IDed the Blaze 4G as such, T-Mobile formally announced the handset, confirming specs like its 42Mbps HSPA+ radio and dual-core 1.5GHz processor. T-Mobile revealed that the phone features a Super AMOLED screen, but we still didn’t know anything about its resolution. Now, thanks to today’s UAProf document, we learn the Blaze 4G will have a 720p display.

We’re still not sure how far off the Blaze 4G is from arriving; the best T-Mobile offered was “later this year”, but the carrier would be wise to get this one out in the next few months. We should be seeing further details on the handset emerge as that retail launch approaches.
