Samsung might be turning On another set of phones for its budget lineup.
There have been hints on Indian import-export database Zauba of new Samsung model numbers within this range that may end up being the names of 2016’s Galaxy On5 and On7. About a month ago, what was deemed the “SM-G6100” came to light on GFXBench.
And now, we have another incremental step towards revelation with fresh tests of the SM-G5700 on Geekbench.
What we know so far is that the rumored Galaxy On5 (2016) may have an Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 and 3GB of RAM. The On7 (2016) will also have 3GB of RAM, but will likely pack a more agile Snapdragon 625. It’ll also pack a full HD display at 4.8 inches — whoa, what!? — and carry a 13-megapixel camera on the back and an 8-megapixel unit in front.
More and more, we’re feeling quite good about what you’d might be able to get on a prepaid network or just a shoestring budget. But we’ll wait to see if these Galaxy On phones get on with it first before noting Samsung in the club.
