Samsung Galaxy Note Getting Firmware Update, It’s Not ICS

No, it’s not Android 4.0, even though it could have been given the fact that the Samsung Galaxy S II recently received its Ice Cream Sandwich treat. There were recent reports of ICS being delayed for the Note but that doesn’t stop Samsung from further improving the phone-tablet hybrid (hate the ‘phablet’ word).

The package includes a new and improved radio as well as some updates to the Samsung software. According to reports, the video editor application now handles files shot with various frame rates better and the “fade” effect no longer produces artifacts. Such improvements are always a great addition but what we really want is Ice Cream Sandwich on the phone, and fast! OK, Samsung? Thanks!
