It was only a matter of time until tipsters took the Galaxy Note 6 (Note 7?) rumor games to the next level with leaked imagery of sorts. The result of the latest inside info-digging partnership between @OnLeaks, aka Steve Hemmerstoffer of French publication NowhereElse, and telephone comparison service uSwitch, is a short video clip allegedly starring Samsung’s “next big thing.”
Not in the actual flesh, of course, but rather rendered form “based on leaked blueprints.” A separate image supposedly shines some light on not just the front panel of the Galaxy Note 7 or Note 6, but its relatively slim profile and clean, straightforward rear cover also.
First things first, we’re pretty sure you got a general feeling of déjà vu looking at the 5.8-inch or so next-gen high-end phablet. This notably borrows essentially all its design elements from the Note 5 and S7 Edge, dual-curved screen, fingerprint-touting physical home button, sharp corners, and slightly protruding rear-facing camera included.
Its very few novelties might be a USB Type-C port down at the bottom, and rich cluster of sensors above the Quad HD display, likely capable of scanning your iris for super-fast and secure authentication, among others.
What we’re not seeing here is the recently rumored dual rear cam, while the physical dimensions are extremely similar to Note 5’s measurements, at 153.5 x 73.9 x 7.9mm. The device’s market name remains up in the air, with both Galaxy Note 6 and Galaxy Note 7 in contention. Not 6 Edge or 7 Edge, though, despite the obvious curvy nature of the AMOLED panel in tow.
