Last year, Samsung did really abuse the name of its Galaxy S 4 flagship, and the Galaxy S4 Zoom was another example, aside from the Galaxy S4 Active, and the Galaxy S4 mini. This year, while we still have a Galaxy S5 mini, (and other S5 phones), the camera-phone hybrid is no longer reusing the flagship’s denomination; instead, Samsung decided to call it the K Zoom, and in this Samsung Galaxy K Zoom unboxing video we’re taking a look at the retail experience.

The specs aren’t flagship worthy, but that’s far from the raison d’être of this device. The main selling point is the 20.7MP camera, with the Samsung lens that offers 10x optical zoom, optical image stabilization, as well as a powerful flash. This is a camera that makes phone calls, or, it’s a phone that has a huge lens. We’re not even sure what it is, as we weren’t sure last year either, but we’ll definitely try to find out in our upcoming review. Until then, we’ll leave with in first person mode, as we’re taking a look at the device, in our Samsung Galaxy K Zoom unboxing video below.
