The Samsung Galaxy J-line of smartphones has been growing in the past year, with the introduction of smartphones like the Galaxy J1 this year and upcoming rumored smartphones including entries such as the Galaxy J1 Ace. The line represents an entry-level-to-mid-range option – you definitely won’t find flagships here – and another one of the smartphones rumored for the lineup includes the Galaxy J2. Today, thanks to SamMobile, we’re looking at what could be a comprehensive Samsung Galaxy J2 specs leak.
According to the site, the phone will come with a 4.5-inch TFT LCD display (at 800×480 pixels), a Samsung Exynos 3475 SoC clocked at 1.2 GHz, 1.5GB of RAM, as well as 8GB of internal storage (though microSD expansion will be present according to the source). As far as cameras are concerned, there’s a 5MP shooter on the back, as well as a front-facing 2MP companion. There will be a decent-sized 2,000 mAh battery built-in, and the phone will ship with the latest build of Android 5.1 Lollipop.
Additionally, it will be 136 mm tall, 69 mm wide, and 8.3 mm thin. There’s no word on the weight at this time, however. SamMobile doesn’t at this time have a release timeframe to share, though they do say the J2 will come to India first and then other emerging markets.
