The Galaxy Gear is Samsung’s take on a smartwatch and the wearable hardware piece was introduced at IFA, as a companion to the Galaxy Note 3 and the Galaxy Note 10.1 2014. The Galaxy Gear is “definitely receiving warm response”, according to Lee Young-hee, Samsung’s executive vice president for the company’s mobile business marketing.

However, a recent report, same report that quoted Lee Young-hee above, also quotes a Samsung official (not sure whether a different one, or the executive VP above), that believes the following: “We’ve acknowledged that our Gear lacks something special. With more investment for user interface and user experience, Samsung devices will be better in terms of customer satisfaction”.

On a side-note, the report also mentions a Samsung official unveil that the company will introduce a smartphone with curved-display next month in Korea. We’ve recently heard a different report on the same matter so we’re looking forward to seeing what this is all about.
