This is pretty much upgrading upon the upper mid-range of smartphones to the point where the company should just call it a flagship. With the Galaxy A9 being promoted — because why not? — and sold for good, but not great wads of cash, we’re left trying to figure out what a Galaxy A9 Pro would do for the lineup.

SamMobile reports that device firmware development is ongoing for the SM-A9100, intended for China. The SM-A9000 is the regular Galaxy A9.

Are we talking about a quad-HD 6-point-something-inch screens and a terajig of storage? We don’t know, but there wasn’t much of a price gap between the Galaxy A9 and the S6 in the first place, so Samsung may end up with some range breach, here.
