Samsung today unveiled the brand new Samsung Galaxy A53 smartphone and the Galaxy A33. The Galaxy A33 comes with a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display, 48MP camera on the back, and a large 5,000 mAh battery. The phone has a lot in common with the newly unveiled Galaxy A53, and it costs even less.
The brand new Samsung Galaxy A33 borrows a lot of design and hardware from the Galaxy A53 mid-range device, and it comes with a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED 90Hz refresh rate display, and Gorilla Glass 5. The phone has a punch-hole cutout that houses the 13MP f/2.2 sensor, and it has IP67 water and dust resistance. The phone weight 186 grams, and it has dimensions of 159.7 x 74.0 x 8.1mm.
The phone is powered by an Octa-Core 2.4 GHz and 2 GHz chipset, and it has 6/8GB of RAM and 128/256GB of storage. The storage is also expandable with a microSD card up to 1TB, which is rare to see nowadays. While Samsung didn’t confirm the exact chip that powers the device, we know that it supports 5G.
The primary camera on the back is a 48MP f/1.8 sensor with OIS, there’s also an 8MP f/2.2 ultrawide, 2MP depth f/2.4, and a 5MP f/2.4 macro sensor. The Galaxy A33 has a 5,000 mAh battery, and Samsung claims that it can last 2-days on a single charge. The phone also supports 25W fast wired charging, and it runs One UI 4.1, on top of Android 12.
The Samsung Galaxy A33 will be available in four colors, Black, White, Blue, and Peach. The Galaxy A33 5G will be available in select markets from April 22, and it will cost £329 in the UK. Samsung also revealed that the Galaxy A73 5G will be available in select markets on April 22.
Samsung Galaxy A53
The new Galaxy A53 comes with a large 6.5-inch Super AMOLED display with 120Hz, and a 64MP primary camera. The battery packs a 5,000 mAh cell that can last 2-days on a single charge, and it also supports 25W fast wired charging.
