Samsung now focused on building displays for Apple

Even though Apple and Samsung are more famous for their courtroom battles, that doesn’t change the fact that their partnerships for hardware internals keep growing. Samsung currently supplies Apple with processors, flash storage, RAM chips and even display technology in a few cases, but rumors point to more collaboration to come.

Trusted sources claim that Samsung has just built a team of around 200 employees, and their sole purpose is to design and build new displays for Apple. It’s not clear as to what these displays will power, or if these are multiple displays for Apple’s future products, but one thing we do know is that Samsung is the best door that Apple could’ve knocked for this. Samsung’s AMOLED technology has clearly grown in superiority to LG’s IPS technology, and it would be amazing to see this reach Apple products in the near future, just like we see AMOLED panels on competing products from Motorola, Oppo and others.

The team was supposed to remain a secret; something that crashed and burned as of today, but let’s see what products will be benefited from this partnership in the near future.
