If you still need an S Pen, look for the Samsung Chromebook Pro

The Galaxy Note 7 is about to be wiped away from existence with the only memories of it remaining with the tech media and the few that will still have the phablet clutched tightly to themselves. So goes away the expanded S Pen features that we saw, as well. But if you still need a powerful stylus that can do more things than you could with your finger, you might just have to buy a Chromebook soon.

For a short time, listings for the Samsung Chromebook Pro went up on the company’s Korean site as well as Adorama Camera. And while there is a stylus that silos in its own port, it’s not an S Pen — it’s a “PEN”.

Pictures were there as well as all the specs: a hexa-core processor with a dual-core Cortex-A72 leading with a top speed of 2GHz), 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Chrome OS on this device will have the Google Play Store already integrated.

For ports, we’ve got two USB-C, one 3.5mm jack and a single full SD card slot. The 12.3-inch display has a resolution of 2400 x 1600 with up to 400 nits of brightness and can be swiveled 360 degrees. All told, it measures 13.9mm thick and, with a battery that can last up to 10 hours from 100 to 0 percent, is just over 1kg heavy.

Adorama had pre-orders up for the Chromebook Pro at $499, tagged with a free year of ad-free AirDroid use. The outlet has since deactivated the page. We’ll have to bite our nails to see when this puppy gets out into the market.
