Another hot application for the Verizon Wireless Samsung Omnia II or the GSM Omnia II is the Samsung Caxixi, an application that brings percussion instruments to your pockets. You can get some friends together with your Omnia IIs in tow and start a drum circle.

The application works in conjunction with the accelerometer hardware on the device, allowing you to tilt, shake, and shift your device to create different effects.

According to the Samsung Mobile Innovator, the program works as such:

Say the words mobile music and you probably think, MP3 player. Or maybe that guitar or other instrument you can carry around. But what about a mobile drum circle featuring one drummer you.

Sounds far-fetched, right? But using the unique Caxixi mobile music application and the Omnia II smart phone released by Samsung, you actually can play 50 different drum sounds simply by shaking and gesturing with the device, then use the built-in studio to arrange backing tracks, record sounds and mix them into your own songs.

The best part is this could be had for just £1.00.
