Retailers Announce Availability For Samsung ATIV S, ATIV Tab

A little earlier today we learned that, contrary to what all the nay-sayers would have us believe, Samsung’s premiere Windows Phone 8 entry, the ATIV S, would arrive this year after all, with sales starting later this week. Even if the phone won’t be coming to carriers near you in the immediate future, that needn’t keep you from getting your hands on the smartphone, as we’ve just caught wind of the first independent retailers announcing their own plans for the ATIV S, along with its Windows 8 tablet cousin, the ATIV Tab.

UK-based retailer Clove will have both the ATIV S and ATIV Tab available as of December 14. The ATIV S sells for what works out to about $600 without taxes, about the same as what it’s going for from Canadian carriers off-contract, and with support for AT&T’s bands (T-Mobile’s, too, if you’re lucky enough to live where it’s switched-on 1900MHz 3G) you could import it and be one of the first users in the States to be rocking the model.

If tablets are more your speed, Clove has the ATIV Tab for around $725, pre-tax. The Tab runs Windows RT, just like the currently-available Surface model, and comes equipped with 32GB storage.
